We don’t get to have very many family weekends since we are usually down at the coast from Thursday evening until Sunday afternoon. But this weekend was different. Bryce had continuing education in Chapel Hill on Friday, so it made sense for us to stay home in Cary this weekend. Our daughter, Heather, came for a visit on Friday and she and I hung out all day. She now has a cute mixed breed puppy named Geoffrey and we had fun playing with him. We also did girls’ lunch out at Sweet Tomatoes and shopped at Petco for our two furry family members. Friday evening my mom and my brother came for dinner at our house so they could visit with Heather.
Saturday morning Heather left for home since she had to go to work and we left for a visit with our son, Chris and his wife Jen. It was fun to catch up on what everyone is doing and to enjoy our grandson, Alec, who is three. Our other grandson, Andrew, was away at the coast fishing with his other grandfather. What a fun weekend!
